Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 in 1983) is a well-known American actress. Most notably, she appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington in Ohio. She dropped out of high school after her parents split up to move to Los Angeles to live with her mother. Though she struggled financially and in the beginning, she made her acting debut as Rachel's Room's principal character. Her portrayal as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV film Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was selected to portray Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost in which she was a main cast member for the first two seasons. She was also awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Grace was keen to pursue film following her role as Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. In 2008, she played the same role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace reprised Shannon's role in Lost for two additional episodes. This included the final episode of the series. In 2013, she was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. The actress portrays Faith as a female groupie and is also a model the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's a Gyllenhaal. child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), and is older in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in the films of her father in his adolescent years. With her brother, she was also as a character in Donnie Darko (2000). Then she appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performance as a lead character actress in Secretary (2002) which is the erotic drama about romance as well as Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006, including World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). Gyllenhaal started her career as screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021 when she directed and wrote the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film received the award for Best Screenplay in the Venice International Film Festival, and was later nominated by the Academy Award.
