Aisling Bea

Aisling B a, born 16 March, 1984. She was born in Kildare Ireland. The comedian has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, better known as her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comic. After playing bits in a variety of Irish and British television series from 2009 Bea began her career as a stand-up comic in the year 2011. The year 2012 saw her begin to regularly appear on sketches and sitcoms. After she received an prize from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011 and then was a frequent guest on a variety of panel shows, where she's currently a regular. In 2016 and 2017, she was the team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is participant on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her sister-in-law. She was only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. Bea Her maiden name, which is her birth name, is a tribute to her late dad. Aisling Claiodhnadh Sullivan was born on the 16th of March, 1984 from Kildare, County Kildare. Her father Brian was a veterinarian for horses who took his own life when Bea was only three years old. She did not know the cause of his death until she reached the age of 13. As a way to honor her dad, she took the stage name Bea and in 2017, she wrote an article on suicides and deaths that affected the family she was raised by for The Guardian. Bea as well as her older sister Sinead was raised in the home of Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. Her family were racing and horse-related. When she was a child, Bea was an instructor in the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early age that she wasn't interested in the racing industry for a profession, but instead was a performer.
